7 Step Chair Caning

The chair caning class consists of the basic 7 step method of caning a chair. We will go through each step starting with removing the old cane, lacing the new cane from hole to hole, tying off each step and then finish with the binder cane that completes the chair.

Class Fee: $70.00 per student - Number of classes will be determined by the needs of the students to finish the project.

Materials List:

Chair to be caned
Small bucket (ice cream bucket is ok)
Side cutters or scissors
Large towel to set chair on
Small sponge or cloth
A few snapper clothes pins or bag ties
